The Difference

Company founders, Steve Millen and David Schollum have been racing around the world for over 29 years. Their commitment to hard work and perseverance has helped create the largest automotive aftermarket manufacturer, distributor, and retail direct merchandiser in the industry. Steve Millen Sportparts, Inc. and STILLEN humbly started their race to the front of the pack in 1986. Starting with aftermarket mini-truck appearance packages, they quickly found themselves fulfilling customer's requests to build products for other vehicles such as Astro Vans and full-sized trucks.

With that came performance parts, suspension pieces, and upgraded brake products such as big brake systems. Capitalizing on his Nissan racing career, and knowing what it took to make the likes of a 300ZX sports car perform like no other, it was only natural for Steve Millen to branch out into the import car scene with a full array of products encompassing styling, performance, handling, and braking products. These products proved to be so successful with retail customers nationwide that an agreement was made with Nissan North America to produce a number of limited edition Steve Millen SMZ 300ZX vehicles.

These cars were shipped from the factory directly to the STILLEN complex in Costa Mesa California where they underwent a performance makeover with a complete line of STILLEN upgrades, then shipped to Nissan dealers nationwide. Many of these cars can still be found today and are considered rare collector editions.

Over the company's 20 year history the product line has grown considerably, STILLEN now manufactures and distributes a wide range of products for Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Honda, GM, Ford/Lincoln, and Daimler Chrysler. Throughout the company's growth the primary focus to build products based on quality, fit, and finish has never been lost.

The STILLEN facility is located in Costa Mesa, California and the main building can be seen to the right when landing at the prestigious John Wayne airport.

We currently employ over 120 people, and for many of our vendors, we are their largest customer. The corporate complex is comprised of 90,000 square feet and houses all of the integral areas that make STILLEN the leading source for car and truck performance products today.

Servicing a nation of performance enthusiasts takes a large team and we're lucky to have a group of employees that are committed to not only finding out how to make your vehicle faster, but to make sure you're getting the best quality and best performing product on the market. Our staff includes a group of dedicated Performance Specialists ready to take your call and help you find the right product for your specific vehicle.

ENGINEERING, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

This is where it starts, where the ideas meet the road so to speak. The STILLEN R&D Center is a constant hub of activity that ultimately evolves into high performance products that become available to our customers and capture the attention of many automotive publications. STILLEN manufactures a wide array of products including: Hi-Flow Intake Systems, Clutch Flywheels, Strut Tower Bars and Exhaust Systems, to name a few. We also work with AP Racing to develop Big Brake Systems for many sports cars, trucks and SUVs. Every part of the manufacturing process is performed in-house including: prototyping development, tooling, CAD-CAM engineering and final production. The ability to R&D and manufacture STILLEN brand products allows us to maintain strict quality control.

TESTING

The R&D team doesn't stop at just development. Once a product has emerged from concept a lengthy series of tests are made to insure that the product you're bolting on your car adheres to the stringent quality measures that the STILLEN brand is known for. Our in house Dyno enables us to monitor the performance attributes of each new exhaust, supercharger and air intake system we manufacture.

BODY COMPONENT MODELING & URETHANE PRODUCTION

The entire process of creating body styling is quite impressive and is done from start to finish here at STILLEN. Automobiles, Trucks, Vans and SUVs are brought in to design, develop and tool for the production of Spoilers, Wings and Body Styling components.

The process starts with a vehicle on a modeling table where our body craftsmen design many iterations of body pieces and kits from fascias to rear spoilers, rocker panels to fender flares.

Once the final design is derived, plugs and molds are produced. Urethane compound is then injected into the molds to create the trend setting body styling that STILLEN is known for.

FABRICATION

Tube Benders, TIG and MIG Welders, and other metal working tools are used to produce our complete line of performance exhaust, suspension and specialty products here at STILLEN.

State-of-the-art, computerized Mandrel tube Benders are utilized for our manufacturing process providing precise bends that result in a perfect fit for our customers vehicles. Our STILLEN exhausts lead the field in their performance attributes and it all comes down to the fact that our fabrication shop is one of the best in the business.
