EVE200-196 / 200-196 - Application Notes The all-new 2007 platform offers a sneak-peak at what the next generation GM full-size truck lineup has to offer. In addition to the bold styling, more horsepower and extra torque than previous models, the all-new Active Fuel Management for better fuel economy GM looks to have hit another home run in the full-size truck/SUV market. In order to take full advantage of the increased power and fuel efficiencies the 2007 has to offer, AIRAID Filter Company recently developed a new Cool Air Dam (CAD) Intake System for this next generation GM truck. The new CAD intake system takes full advantage of GM's upgraded intake plumbing and larger throttle body to generate even more horsepower and torque while also improving throttle response. Furthermore, in independent Dyno testing, the new AIRAID CAD system for the 2007 5.3-liter V8 Tahoe, equipped with the Active Fuel Management, generated an additional 22 horsepower and 28 lbs feet of torque at the rear wheels. AIRAID's CAD Intake System utilizes a colossal 1600cfm AIRAID Premium SynthaFlow Filter which is isolated from engine heat by a computer-designed Cool Air Dam. The AIRAID SynthaFlow Premium Filter is a specially-blended combination of cotton gauze and synthetic layers that consistently filter down to two microns, providing superior protection at no extra cost. And as is the case with all AIRAID Intake Systems, this CAD Intake System comes with AIRAID's "No Hassle Warranty". Installation is easy and can be accomplished with ordinary hand tools in less than an hour.
