It's been nearly 35 years since Nissan brought its first small pickup to the United States, and since that time, the company has garnered a good share of a compact pickup market. In 2005, Nissan's compact pickup, the Frontier, has grown in size to mid-size proportions, and so has the power plant under the hood. 

The Frontier now sports an all-new 4.0-liter, 24-valve, DOHC V6 with variable valve timing that makes 265 horsepower and 284 lb/ft of torque. But like most manufacturers, there's always something left on the table in terms of more available horsepower and torque and Nissan's 05-06 Frontier is no exception.
