STILLEN 1-piece Sport Rotors are a great choice for performance, durability and style when staying with OE factory calipers. These high-performance upgrades directly replace those plain OE factory rotors with no modification required. Applications for cars are finished with a clear zinc plating for exceptional corrosion resistance. Most truck and SUV applications have a tough, black e-coat to keep the elements at bay.

Why cross-drilled or slotted (or both)?
Cross-drilled rotors are a quick and simple way to improve initial pad bite. With the additional leading edges at each hole, the pad is able to grab the rotor just a little bit harder when it’s time to stop NOW! Tests have shown (and drivers can feel) the immediate improvement. The holes also provide better cooling under hard use. Pad wear may be accelerated slightly (depending on driving technique), so only high quality brake pads should be considered. Cross-drilled rotors are not recommended for track duty – choose slotted rotors instead.

Slotted rotors provide some of the increased pad bite that cross-drilled rotors do, but can handle the heat of more aggressive use. The slots act as a wiper, cleaning the pad face as they go by to reduce pad glazing, keeping the pads fresh for optimal performance. If taking the car often to track days or where very spirited driving is the norm, slotted rotors are the smart choice.

Cross-drilled and slotted rotors combine the best of both. Fewer holes mean longer pad life with little penalty in the way of initial pad bite. These are popular, aggressive-looking patterns that look great behind those custom wheels.

But I’ve read that cross-drilled rotors are prone to…
While there is often some strand of truth in the various tales circulating around the Internet, we have found that many issues related to premature cracking or irregular pad wear are due to rotors made of inferior materials, substandard manufacturing techniques, poor pattern design or improper use. With over two decades of experience in high-performance brake upgrades, STILLEN has proven that high-quality, well-made cross-drilled rotors are a worthy upgrade for high-performance driving duty short of serious track days. They are also backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

What makes are STILLEN Sport Rotors different?
High-quality, 1-piece blanks are sourced from the world’s best foundries. Each application is carefully scrutinized for the optimum face pattern, whether cross-drilled, slotted or both. The latest CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools are used to optimize the face pattern for full pad sweep to reduce hot spots and grooving.

All holes are radius-chamfered with special tooling to minimize stress-raisers for maximum resistance to heat and longer rotor life compared to lower-priced offerings. Slots are ramped to reduce pad dust retention and noise. STILLEN Sport Rotors arrive finished, machine-balanced and ready to install!

I spent a lot on custom wheels. What will these rotors look like months from now?
Sport Rotors for most car applications are zinc plated for corrosion resistance, which keeps them looking good. Truck/SUV applications are typically E-coated for a tough, rust-resistant appearance.

OK, I’m ready to upgrade. What next?
Enhance a new set of Sport Rotors with STILLEN Metal Matrix brake pads or choose from other performance pad options. For the complete package, choose stainless steel braided brake lines and fresh AP Racing or Motul brake fluid for a more positive brake pedal feel and resistance to fluid boiling. Remember, all car manufacturers recommend a brake system flush at no longer than 24 month intervals, shorter for hard brake use. If it has been too long, upgrading brake lines at the same time will save time and labor.
