Cross Drilled & Slotted Sport Rotors
Jonathan Hallby Jonathan HallI purchased these rotors for my 2012 Infiniti M37 Sport since it seems many Infiniti owners have at some point experienced the poor performance and shaking of their stock rotors and pads. The stock rotors on my car were beginning to warp and when I was braking, the steering column and front wheels would shudder like crazy.
I looked up this problem online and noticed that I wasn't the only one this was happening with. When at my local Infiniti dealership, I asked about this and my service guy's top recommendation was Stillen rotors and pads.
I replaced the rotors and pads on the front and rear (drive wheels) and haven't been disappointed as once I installed them, the shuddering stopped and I had smooth braking. You need good brakes and rotors because if you like to drive fast in your car, you have to have good stopping power.
It's winter here in Utah now, but I'm sure that when the warm weather comes, the usefulness of the slots and drilled holes will be so much more helpful. The purpose is to clear away the brake dust and to cool the rotor, which heats up drastically while braking.
Stillen appears to make high quality products so I'm grateful for my Infiniti service guy's recommendation. When installing the rotors, the slots and drilled holes go top to bottom this way \ \ \ (like the picture above, on your drivers side) to the rear which seems to be the reverse of how most rotor manufacturers design their rotors. Each rotor is labelled L or R so you know which one goes where. Stillen designed them to be put on this way.
I got on the phone and talked with their customer support about this and they have wonderful customer support. They were fast, friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I'll certainly be purchasing more Stillen products in the future!
