Streetcars come from the factory with alignment settings optimized for the stock suspension equipment. After upgrading the suspension system and the vehicle chassis has been lowered or raised, the stock alignment settings can shift dramatically due to the change in ride height. Since the factory suspension typically offers a limited range of adjustment, the aftermarket has developed products to supplement or replace factory suspension components to permit proper alignment after raising or lowering a chassis. Products ranging from eccentric bolts to adjustable suspension arms and links offer an increased range of adjustment to facilitate proper setting of the caster, camber and toe based on the vehicle’s new ride height.
